The Aurora Winter train provides flag stop service between Talkeetna and Hurricane before continuing on to Fairbanks or Anchorage. Due to the nature of this service, schedule varies depending on the number of stops.

Alaska residents and seniors (60 and over) receive 20% discount from regular fares. Children's fares (ages 2-11) are half off adult fare. Must show ID for discounted rates. Alaska ID required for resident fare. All rates, fees, schedules subject to change without notice. Dining Service is available on Aurora Winter Train.

The Winter Hurricane Turn Train operates Mid-May to Mid-September.

The Hurricane Turn Winter Train only operates the first Thursday of each month from October - May. Be sure and pack a lunch as there is no dining onboard. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed. Onboard service - No Dining, baggage service only in Anchorage.

Train departs from Talkeetna depot. Transfer provided from Talkeetna Lode. Runs Thursday-Sunday, mid May to mid Sep, and in conjunction with summer holidays. No dining onboard. Times may vary depending on number of flagstops.


Like the Aurora Winter Train, the Winter Hurricane Turn is a flagstop train, and due to the nature of the service, the schedule varies depending on the number of stops.

Alaska residents and seniors can also receive 20% discount from regular fares on the Hurricane with proper identification.
There is no dining service available on the Winter Hurricane Turn Train.
