Girdwood Forest Fair

The Girdwood Forest Fair is held the first weekend in July every year.

The Girdwood Forest Fair features Alaskan artists, hand-crafted items, exotic foods and entertainers from all over Alaska. The Forest Fair fairgrounds are located at Mile 2.2 on the Alyeska Highway in the community park area. Car pooling is encouraged since parking is a absolute nightmare! Limited parking is available at the Alyeska Resort Day lodge with Shuttle service provided.

There is no admission fee, only good times! Be sure to purchase a limited edition Girdwood Forest Fair T-Shirt “The Cover Charge that Covers Your Back”!

Camping will be allowed in Forest Fair Campgrounds only for $25 per person per night – Camping permit required. Public Camping is prohibited in the town of Girdwood during Forest Fair Weekend.

Parade

The annual Forest Fair Parade is an opportunity to show off your float or costume decorated with your interpretation of the parade theme! We require all motorized vehicles and floats to be decorated in the Parade theme. Everyone is welcome to be a cast member in the parade!

Bring your float and/or other parade entries to Alyeska Resort Day Lodge parking lot at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning. The parade will commence at 10:00a.m. down the Alyeska Highway to the Forest Fair Park.

The Alyeska Highway will be CLOSED at Hightower Road from 10am to 11am for the parade.
